Before mobile entertainment became part of everyday life, DigiPlus Interactive Corp. — then operating as Leisure and Resorts World Corp. — had already built a long-standing presence in the Philippine leisure industry through physical bingo operations, including Bingo Bonanza.
These venues represented an earlier chapter in the company's history, when the experience was centered on physical locations where customers could gather and participate in traditional bingo.
The shift toward digital services accelerated during the pandemic. Restrictions on physical venues and changing consumer habits created a different operating environment, prompting DigiPlus to rethink how its established entertainment business could reach audiences beyond traditional locations.
BingoPlus emerged from that transition.
Launched in January 2022, BingoPlus brought the company's bingo experience into a digital environment built around interactive and livestream-based entertainment. The launch marked a significant change from a business historically associated with physical venues toward one increasingly supported by online access and digital technology.
Over time, BingoPlus expanded beyond its initial format. DigiPlus developed the platform across online and offline touchpoints while introducing additional entertainment categories for users in the Philippines.
Expanding the BingoPlus Platform
As BingoPlus developed, DigiPlus focused on combining technology, familiar game formats and a more accessible digital experience. This approach allowed the company to adapt elements of its established entertainment business for audiences increasingly accustomed to using mobile devices and online services.
The platform continued to broaden its content following its 2022 launch.
By 2023, BingoPlus offered more than 1,000 e-games across multiple categories, including bingo, card games, arcade-style games and slots.
DigiPlus also invested in capabilities supporting the platform's development, including livestreaming facilities and in-house game development. These resources gave the company additional capacity to develop and operate content designed for its Philippine audience.
The transition from Bingo Bonanza's physical venues to the expanding BingoPlus platform illustrates a broader change in how DigiPlus delivers entertainment. Rather than abandoning its earlier business history, the company adapted elements of that experience to a market increasingly shaped by digital access, mobile technology and changing audience habits.

Localized content became another part of BingoPlus' development. Bingo Mega serves as one of the platform's principal livestreamed bingo experiences, while its Perya collection brings familiar Filipino carnival-inspired formats into a digital setting.
Games such as Color Game illustrate this approach. Rather than simply expanding the number of titles available, BingoPlus adapted recognizable forms of local entertainment for an interactive online environment.
The Perya catalogue continued to develop in 2024 with the introduction of Pinoy Drop Ball, a livestreamed game inspired by the familiar drop-ball format. The title added another locally oriented experience to the platform and became part of BingoPlus' continuing development of original and adapted content for audiences in the Philippines.
Behind these releases, DigiPlus continued to develop its research, production and game-development capabilities. This allowed BingoPlus to introduce new formats while maintaining a focus on content designed around local entertainment preferences.
By 2025, the BingoPlus operation extended well beyond its digital platform. Reported figures indicated that the brand was serving tens of millions of users while maintaining more than 130 physical locations across the Philippines.
Those physical locations continued to provide traditional bingo experiences while also supporting parts of the wider BingoPlus ecosystem, including selected payment and customer-service functions for digital users.
The combination of digital access and physical locations represents an important part of the brand's development: BingoPlus expanded its online services without completely separating them from the physical bingo operations that preceded the platform.

As BingoPlus expanded, Responsible Gaming and player protection became an increasingly important part of the platform's development.
BingoPlus introduced account tools designed to help users monitor and manage their gaming activity. These include Time Control Settings and Spend & Loss Limits, giving eligible users additional ways to set personal boundaries around the time and money they spend on the platform.
Responsible Gaming efforts have also extended beyond account controls. Working with DigiPlus and its Foundation, BingoPlus supported the Pusta de Peligro educational campaign, which uses educational content, discussions and community activities to encourage more informed and responsible gaming behavior.
Player-protection measures continued to develop in 2025. As part of the DigiPlus group, BingoPlus introduced additional safeguards around verified player funds, including a surety bond program providing coverage of up to ₱1 million per verified player wallet, subject to the applicable program terms and conditions.
The group also continued to develop secure payment touchpoints through partnerships with appropriately accredited payment providers.
Together, these measures reflect an approach in which platform development is accompanied by tools, education and safeguards intended to help eligible adults make more informed decisions about their gaming activity.
Gaming outcomes are uncertain. Players should set appropriate time and spending limits and should never treat gaming as a source of income.

The fourth-anniversary edition of BingoPlus Night was scheduled for May 19, 2026 under the theme “Step into the Next PLUS,” marking another stage in the development of BingoPlus and DigiPlus' wider digital entertainment portfolio.
Ahead of the event, DigiPlus Chairman Eusebio H. Tanco reflected on the transition that began with the launch of BingoPlus and the role Filipino entertainment has played in shaping the platform.
“The BingoPlus transformation story was a leap of faith, but it was always driven by our strong commitment to our customers,” Tanco said. He described the platform's development over its first four years as an effort to bring familiar Filipino entertainment experiences into a modern digital environment.
Tanco also positioned BingoPlus Night as an occasion to recognize the people involved in that development, including the teams, partners and audiences that have contributed to the brand since its launch.
For the 2026 edition, event coverage was made available through BingoPlus' official digital channels, including its website, app and social media platforms. Television broadcasts were also scheduled for GTV on May 22 at 8 p.m. and GMA on May 23 at 10 a.m.
Viewed alongside the brand's earlier history, the fourth anniversary represents another point in a longer transition — from physical bingo operations and Bingo Bonanza to livestreamed entertainment, locally developed game formats and a broader digital platform.
That history also provides context for DigiPlus' “Entertainment for Good” direction. As the company continues to develop its entertainment portfolio, the evolution of BingoPlus illustrates how established Filipino entertainment formats can be adapted for changing technologies and audience habits while maintaining a focus on responsible play and player protection.
